ALSTASAN SILVOX (Silver Hydrogen Peroxide based Biodegradable Agriculture Disinfectant) addresses the following areas of concern without causing harmful/toxic effects.

 

Method of application:

Regular treatment by Drench method:

A fair dilution is made and drenched to each plant every 15-30 days to ensure disinfection of cucumber cultivation. Helps in treating the following diseases:

  • Pseudomonas syringae causes thin water soaked lesions which expand between leaf veins. They ooze a milky substance that dries to form a white crust, and tans eventually. The center cracks, leaving leaf-holes
  • Fusarium oxysporum causes rotting of seedling stems, with brown lesions on one side with tissue discolouration inside
  • Rhizoctonia solani produces yellow-brown discolouration on fruits, with brown fungal growth on the rotting areas
  • Root knot Nematodes (Meloidogyne sp.) causes gall formation that may extend up to an inch in diameter, reducing plant life

Regular treatment by Spray method:

A solution of the disinfectant is made and sprayed on the cucumber farms once in every 7-15 days helping in the treatment of the following diseases: 

  • Pseudomonas syringae causes thin water soaked lesions which expand between leaf veins. They ooze a milky substance that dries to form a white crust, and tans eventually. The center cracks, leaving leaf-holes
  • Bacterial spot, by Xanthomonas campestris start off as small water soaked leaf spots which merge to form large necrotic areas causing severe defoliation, leaving the fruits vulnerable to sunscald. The fruit infections have raised boundaries with sunken centers giving it a scaly appearance
  • Fusarium oxysporum causes rotting of seedling stems, with brown lesions on one side with tissue discolouration inside

Regular treatment by Drip method:

The disinfectant is added to irrigation water and fed to the soil bed through a drip line. It is advised to repeat this process once in every 15 days ensuring disinfection in cucumber cultivation.

Alstasan Silvox is indeed a broad spectrum antibiotic. The good soil microorganisms are many in number, that the quantity of silver in hydrogen peroxide poses no threat to all of them. The pathogens are comparatively small in number and are effectively treated.
