ALSTASAN SILVOX (Silver Hydrogen Peroxide based Biodegradable Floriculture Disinfectant) addresses the following areas of concern without causing harmful/toxic effects.

Method of application:  

Soil fumigation:

A solution of this disinfectant is applied uniformly on the moistened soil beds. Helps in the treatment of the following:

  • Wilt and Stem Rot affects the collar portions of the plant with wilting being its first symptom is caused by Phytophthora cryptogea
  • Phytophthora sp., Pythium sp. causes rotting at the collar regions in the form of black lesions, known as Collar Rot
  • Damping off by Pythium sp. causes necrotic spots and rings on young seedlings

Regular treatment by Spray method:

A solution of the disinfectant is made and sprayed on the plants once in every 7-15 days helps in treating the following diseases:

  • Powdery Mildew by Oidium sp.; Leveillula taurica, identified by powdery outgrowth on the aerial parts of the plant
  • Leaf Spots by Alternaria sp., Cercospora sp., Septoria sp. seen as brown necrotic patches leading to full leaf necrosis
  • Alternaria dianthi infects young flower buds with the infected buds brown and shriveled, known as Flower Bud Rot
