Floriculture is a branch of horticulture referring to the practice of growing flowers or other ornamental plants for the purpose of gardening, cosmetic and drug industries. Floriculture, or flower cultivation, is an order of agriculture concerned with the development of flowering and decorative plants for greenery enclosures and for floristry, including the botanical business. The development, through plant breeding of new assortments is a major occupation of floriculturists. The crops incorporate bedding plants, houseplants, blossoming garden and pot plants, cut developed greens, and cut flowers. Distinguished from nursery crops, horticulture products are for the mostly herbaceous.
